Hi - finding conflicting info on updating from Jarvis to Krypton on a Fire Stick (mine is 1st generation):

1) Does upgrade from Jarvis to Krypton typically work on this device? (Currently dealing with buffering issues on current Fire Stick/Jarvis set-up )
2) Is Krypton build worth the time it will take a novice to upgrade?
3) Should i turn off auto updates on my fire stick? I've seen several recent threads with update issues...

Audio pass through doesn't work, if that matters to you.

For surround sound? No problem. Do you have 1st gen firestick? Other than audio, how has it been?

Yes I have a 1st gen Fire stick. So far it's been fine. I also have SPMC installed, so I can fall back on that if I run into a problem.

I use ADB to install/update the apps.
