TvOS Kodi Build
I ran a test tonight, I deleted the working kodi app from my Apple TV and tried to install 19.5 (version I know works on my Apple TV) and it installed perfectly, then I used the same steps to update it to 20.0 and got the unable to install prompt, I tried the same with 20.1 and got the same message, then I tried a fresh install of 20.0 and got the same unable to install and same with 20.1, then I said let me try to put 19.5 back to see what it does and 19.5 installs and opens and runs smoothly, not sure what I have done wrong with 2 newer versions not working, I’m using a M1 Pro MacBook Pro and the 2022 Apple TV 4K, maybe something in the code for 20.1 and 20.0 not running for me, my next step will be a fresh install of Xcode

Try changing the deployment target in Xcode to the latest version of tvOS before installing Kodi 20 or 21. I believe this did the trick for me.

That is what I wanted to do but it only shows 16.4 as os while the Apple TV is on 16.5

I had to manually type in the version number but that worked for me.

If you can’t type it in then you should be able to paste it into the text box.

I tried your suggestion, it still did not work once I change the minimum deployment it does not work it does not find my Apple TV when I keep it on 16.4 it’s discovered, and as you see my tv is on 16.5

https://imgur.com/a/QtOZ6Wk - unzip and codesign are 2 distinct commands, you should execute them one by one

Can you try forgetting and then pair your Apple TV again in devices and simulators after updating the version number to 16.5 and see if it is discovered then? Smile

I’ve tried to pair and I pair a billion times and nothing happens, I’m unable to get 16.5 to appear, I uninstalled Xcode, I reset the Apple TV and nothing

I even tried to install kodi 20.1 on my iPhone 14 pro max and I’m getting the same unable to install message but 19.5 works like a charm

do you use different bundle identifiers for v19 and v20? (could be free account limitation) If yes, use the same one.

Same account and same identifier, but I do have a paid account
