Here's the terminal output when I remove -loglevel fatal and run the command again...

Ok, I found a PPA repository source for the "real" FFMPEG that still works with my old OS version. I installed that and put the pipe.sh file back to its original state and tried again. Tvheadend still wouldn't accept any services from the muxes. I tried the first ffplay command you suggested. This time I got no errors, and a window came up with a single still frame image from the appropriate channel, but that was it. The terminal output on that was:
Quote:ffplay version 2.8.11-dpkg Copyright © 2003-2017 the FFmpeg developers

So it looks like it's still not pulling in the data for some reason. It's giving a lot of N/A's and 0's up there. But at least that's a better result than no ffplay window and errors.

Also, the beta test version of the newest Linux Mint comes out on Monday. I may give that a try in my server if we don't figure something out before then.

Thanks for your help!

I am running 17.6 on Ubuntu 17.10, and am also seeing 404 issues with the EPG service, similar to what was mentioned several pages back.  I have no EPG.xml file being created, and I have no EPG.db file to look at either.  Any ideas what might be the issue?

The 404 it is just because there is no EPG.xml. Now why that is not created, I can't tell from the log. See if you can try with Kodi 18 and check if the problem continues.

Well, I upgraded to 18, but I can't see to find a working version of IPTV Simple for it?  Am I just missing something?  I removed the installed version I had, which was installed from the release ppa, and installed the one from the unstable ppa, but no matter what, it claims the version of IPTV is not compatible with Kodi 18.

Edit: Just checked, am running 3.5.0, which seems to be the latest?

Disregard my previous reply, I managed to get it working in 18 (IPTV that is) by switching to the nightlies instead of the unstable builds.  Either way, it made no difference, I still get the 404 error, and there is still no EPG.xml file being created anywhere.

Try disabling the epg build service then restart Kodi. After Kodi has restarted enable the epg build service and see if that helps.
Sometimes the server doesn't start when Kodi starts because something else is using port during boot.

Unfortunately, that did not resolve the issue.

The EPG service is having issues especially with v17.6. Unfortunately most of the problems reside in the HTTPserver which is beyond my expertise. When it gets fixed there will be an update, it's just a matter of figuring out what broke what.

Good news is the Video addon now has Kodi library integration and a few other updates.

Gotcha, I’ll have to wait for the update then, appreciate the help. On the upside, at least I can still watch stuff, just isn’t as pretty as using the EPG lol.

Wait, what do you mean it has library integration. I have had the addon installed for a couple months without any problems. Do i have to reinstall it or update it? And what does library integration mean?

Thank!!

@gr8hayz5 Library integration means you can add a show from within the PSvue addon to the Kodi video library. The kodi library can play video directly from Kodi without the need to open the video addon. You'll need to manually update the addon from HERE. The updates have not been pushed to the Repo yet.

Movies can be added as well but you'll need to move them to a "Movie" Kodi video source folder so your scrapper knows that the streams are movies and not TV Shows. This will be resolved in the future. Use the TESTING version if you want to be able to add PSVue movies to the Kodi library.

I made some modifications to the EPG service. This version does not use the webserver and port but plays the stream directly from the PSVue video addon. Tested on Kodi v18 build 6/20/18. A Kodi dev said that playing the stream in this fashion is new to Kodi v18 so it may not play in Kodi v17. I would recommend uninstalling and deleting your current EPG service and folder before testing this version. I'm hoping this fixes the xml and m3u files not being created.

I noticed an issue, or I have noticed it for a bit but haven't commented about it.  Looking at 'My Shows' when I go to a recording it appears the date is incorrect from the time it was recorded.  I am not sure if I have a setting incorrect but I am not able to find anything to fix this.  This is an example of one, this program was recorded on 6/25/18 but the date shows 6/24/18 looking at the date.  If someone knows how to fix this or if there is a fix would appreciate the knowledge.
