Broken YeeMee - (Control Yeelight Smart Bulb + Ambi from Kodi)
Yes, it calculates the dominant color... I don't have plans changing that for the time being.

Hi,
Thats the debug from turning kodi on to playing and pausing a video

Thanx for the log, but I don't see anything strange... it seems to be communicating with the stripe? The only thing that comes to mind is the problem with hardware acceleration, since you are on Android. Try disabling it in settings (there are 2-3 different video acceleration options). There is no crash in the log....

Was an update released some days ago?
All of a sudden the ambi service doesn't seem to control the lights (Yee Bulb and Strip) anymore and I didn't change anything for like 2 or 3 weeks^^
Demo works, and when Kodi loads, it also switches the Yeelights on, just the ambi does not work. Ambi service is enabled, I tried to disable and re-enable to no avail.

Also when I now restart Kodi it often shows a loading animation, meanwhile I cannot do anything in Kodi, screen is dimmed and remote control doesn't do anything, strange. I have to reboot and be lucky to get inside Kodi Smile doesn't necessarily have to to with YeeMee, but just an observation in the last days.

YeeMee v3.4 is installed and I am not sure if the "working" version was v3.4 or an earlier version, that's why I'd like to ask if there was an update in the last days?

Interesting thing is:
When I start a video, it changes the Yeelight color to the startup color, in my case blue, but no dynamic ambi color changes after that. When I stop it, lights still go out as before.

When I uninstall and re-install the YeeMee Add-on I get "YeeMee error check the log for more information" and the loading animation fires up again and I cannot do anything :|

Not sure if this is helpful log info:
Code:
00:18:24.706 T:140675780896000   ERROR: RunAddon: unknown add-on id 'service.yeemee', or unexpected add-on type (not a script or plugin).

There was an update in the TEST repo, try installing from the normal repo.

I am only on normal repo. Uninstalling didnt work either due to the Kodi error, so I deleted the service.yeemee in ~/.kodi/addons/ and ~/.kodi/userdata/addon_data/

When I tried to reinstall v3.4 it crashed Kodi after installing. But I found v3.41 in the repo now, this seems to install fine... now testing ambi service Smile

EDIT
Yes! v3.41 works again, great!

Now just waiting for the tweak to keep lights on when stopping a video Smile

That was probably something with database or who knows what... 3.4 should work OK as well.

DaLanik - your work is superb thank you.
I do however have a small issue.
On first play it seems my settings are ignored.
I have play set to a blue colour, pause to red and stop to a neutral white.
When i play the first time with any video it sets the colour to 80% slighly cool white (not what i set), when i pause and it goes red then when i play again it goes to the blue colour I selected.

Cant for the life of me work out why its being ignored on first play.
Doesnt matter what i set (besides off, that works) my settings are ignored.

Any thoughts?

Hello DaLanik, thank you for your addon, I use it with 2 color bulbs fixed behind my tv and a strip fixed behind my tv cabinet.
Here is a picture of what it looks like behind the tv

and a video of the result

Really nice, wow! So the strip is defined as down light?

Thanks you
Yes it is, in the settings, the strip is defined as "Botom" ....even if I don't really find it allways recognize colors from the botom of the screen...colors delivered by the strip are ofen very clear....but as a whole, result is already great!
The bulbs are defined as Left 1/2 and Right 1/2

DaLanik, i would like to submit a little problem, maybe it's a bug...
I would like my strip stay On when I stop watching a movie but the strip goes off even after defining the lamp On in the setting "On video play". But when I go to the testing pannel, the lamp does go On when I try Simulate play functionality "Stop", that's really strange....

I use kodi 17.4 on htpc Intel Nuc I3 cpu with Windows 10

Yes it is a small bug already (I think) reported here: 2627302 (post)... It happens when you have AMBI function on together with normal YeeMee functioning (lights control on play/stop/pause). Try turning ambi off and see if it happens?

I want to fix it but I don't have the time Smile

I must admit I don't really understand why switch off AMBI function...it's not the purpose of the addon Yeemee!?
I will try to turn it off and see what happen....
Thank you for the support.
