Nothing doing with getting a Hauppage HVR-950 to work on the atv kinos. Easy enough on vanilla 14.04 . On 14.04 I installed the LinuxTV 4VL-DVB device drivers. Went w/out a hitch and voila' the dvb stick was recognized. However compilation and installation directly on the atv1 kinos itself did complete, but with a ton of warnings.
Has anyone had any luck using a dvbt usb on kinos yet if so was it plug and play? I recall fortissimo trying a Hauppage but to no avail.
For now am just running tvheadend server on a pc running 14.04 and access it via ethernet from the atv to get broadcast. Works pretty good but would be nice to try to get the atv itself to be self contained as it were. Plus since it's always on I could access that via my network from my other atv's ( I have 3) in other rooms if I want to watch broadcast w/out leaving that laptop on all of the time.
