Is there a way to reorder the context menu items?

if you are talking about that merge its targeted only context menu addons, and not context menu that is presented for plugins/addons based on content type;
So you cannot sort default items like "Play", "Information", "Add to favorite" you can only sort YOUR items (which was possible long before this merge when you added your items to it and the order was respected), so you can only add you context menu on top or bottom of 'default_context_menu'.
Not a game changer.
