v19 Pluto.TV
Lunatixz,

I enabled debugging and the channel guide opened fine... that was the only thing that changed between when I tried it last time and this time, unless some server was just timing out somewhere and that resolved in the interim.

Thanks for taking a look either way!

That could be the issue... Their servers were down, probably explains a lot of the user issues that were mentioned without a log? I know they are moving to a new API... we will see. No worries i'll keep the plugin updated after to API changeover Smile

I am getting the same error as thenoble1. I can use the guide and it will let me go to page 2. However when I try to go to page 3 it throws the 'list index out of range' error.

Here is the debug Log File at
https://paste.ubuntu.com/p/spks483BGT/

Update: I did a fresh install of Kodi and Pluto plugin on another computer and am experiencing the same issue. So it seems there is a problem somewhere else.

Thanks for the log and I apologize for the delayed response.... It appears I failed to update this plugin awhile back; So the version available in the repository was outdated. I will submit a update shortly which should resolve some of the issues mentioned.

Running pluto.tv plugin 1.0.8 on LibreElec 8.2.4 is now giving me these errors when I try to browse channels, browse on demand, or look at the channel lineup: https://pastebin.com/dgbqt3pG

Any ideas?

 Looks like there is an issue with the simplecache module.... not sure why you didn't include a full log. The only remedy given the information provided is to delete your simplecache.db file located in addon_data.

I did a fresh reboot before generating the errors and didn't think the things before the errors would be relevant but you're right I should've included the full log for troubleshooting's sake. I'll give deleting simplecache.db a shot and let you know how it works out.

EDIT: I deleted the simplecache.db in ~/.kodi/userdata/addon_data/script.module.simplecache/, rebooted, and tried again and I got the same errors. Here's the full log: https://pastebin.com/5VCCqT7u

For the channel guide to work I had to install script.module.uepg, dependency was not installed automatically.

Hi Lunatixz,

I'm trying to get Pluto.TV working on the XBox One X using the Kodi app. When trying to run it, I get the "Plu to o.TV error. Please check log for errors" message. Looking at the logs, I see the following:

ERROR: CGUIMediaWindow::GetDirectory(plugin://plugin.video.plutotv/) failed

ERROR: XFILE::CDirectory::GetDirectory - Error getting plugin://plugin.video.plutotv/
--> End of Python script error report <--

This is on a clean XBox One X console after a console reset was performed. How do I go about getting this fixed? I would send you the logs, but I've reached the technical limits of what i can do within the XBox One X console and don't know how.

Any help with this will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Please upload the full log, with debug mode enabled, to a pastebin site and link back here. Three lines from a log does not show the whole picture

As mentioned in my previous note, I don't know how to get you the logs from the Xbox One X game console. Point me in the right direction, and I'll get 'r done!

Basically, Pluto.TV is broken "out of the box" when installing it from the official Kodi repository when it's installed on the XBox One X game console. For giggles, I did a complete "Console Reset" (essentially a wipe & reload; factory reset) for the hell of it. After initial configuration and sign in, the only thing I did was to install Pluto.TV and it doesnt work.

Is there somewhere else I can point Kodi to and update the Pluto.TV addon?

Thanks

No luck with those instructions. Step 4 seems to be the problem. The Kodi file manager doesn't see the source properly. I'm wondering if it's a permissions change from the last major XBox One update a few weeks ago not letting Kodi see the Pluto.TV file its looking for? As a rookie, just sayin'....
