Kodi Leia (v18.x) and earlier uses Python 2 for its addons. The current Kodi version (Matrix, v19.x) and later uses Python 3 instead.
This is due to Python 2 being depreciated and retired by its authors and maintainers (neither being us), and so we have had to move to Python 3. Unfortunately the two are not compatible with one another, so different versions of the addons are needed depending on which Python version is required.
You are trying to install a Python 3 addon written for Matrix onto a Python 2 (Leia) system, which is why it is failing. So unless there are updates written in Python 2, then you will only be able to install the latest version in Python 2 (which is presumably v1.6.1).
To get v2.0 to work, you will need to update your Kodi install to Matrix, although with an Android device that old (or at least an Android version that old) that will not be possible. You would almost certainly need to update the hardware, or at least the Android version on it first to get anywhere.
