Congratulations having dredged up a thread that is 6 years old, buried for all to not see.
Go to settings>Interface>skin>choose the skin you want. Older versions of Kodi, might have settings>appearance>skin

I installed the skin black glass nova, now when I go into kodi I see a colourful picture but no way to access anything, I can't go to settings to change anything, what should I do, I'm using an Apple TV 4

Not sure if that skin works with or is supported these days, (watch out for dependencies) you might want to have a peek. https://forum.kodi.tv/forumdisplay.php?fid=208 You can revert to the default skin by deleting the guisettings.xml file in the Userdata (wiki) folder or in worst case deleting the entire userdata folder should return you to default settings but you'll lose your library, unless you have o/s troubles, then re-install is the name of this fix.
