How to do a CLEAN re-install of Libreelec
#1
I have searched this because I can't be the first. I haven't found anything

Libreelec on Intel build box (Intel NUC). Would like to reformat SSD and fresh / clean install of Libreelec.

Why? My movies aren't scraping anymore. I've tried and tried to fix, so I'm just giving up and cleaning up. I have copied the entire libreelec files for movie data re-use if a re-scrape is a disaster.

How to I delete / re-format the drive currently in the box? I then can probably manage from there... bootable USB of Libreelec, new scan or copy over data files...

Can anyone help with the re-format commands? I can either run this from a windows box to libreelec or through a keyboard with the box but would rather not SSH to it - I'm not that talented.

Before, doing that, try cleaning library, then when selecting source for movies, select none, it will then delete the library, then you can add movies again to rescrape.

You could also delete the database file, /storage/.kodi/userdata/Database, there are several db files there.

Failing that, create a new Libreelec on a memory stick, I think you need the Generic intel from https://libreelec.tv/downloads/

then, I use rufus to create the image on the memory stick, https://wiki.libreelec.tv/index.php?title=Installation

Boot the memory stick, I then think it will ask you if you want to install to your hard drive.

Sorry, it's a bit vague, it's a long time since I installed libreelec to my nuc.

New install. Says I have a connection to the internet during the setup (it is a wired connection).

When I set up my movies folder and begin scrape I get, "not connection to remote server."

What the heck?

At a guess - scraper (addon) needs updating or the scraper site is down / inaccessible.
Or you have no internet, but that would be fairly obvious.

Try a check for updates / try a different scraper maybe?

Scraper is updated. Have internet because it does eventually update files when I do each one separately and manually. Will look at debug log.

Man, I'm not sure what I am doing.

I started debugging. It ran in the upper left of my screen (couldn't watch a movie while doing this). I scanned my library. It failed, as it has been lately. I then stopped the servide. It is one of the two debugging logs that I have posted in this share folder (I think):
