When using NEXTPVR and Kodi does Kodi receive its epg data directly from next pvr in UK

Yes, when you're using the NextPVR addon in Kodi, it asks the NextPVR for the lists of channels, and the EPG data for those channels. The NextPVR backend could be configured to get that data from various places including Schedules Direct or XMLTV or directly from the DVB broadcasts.
