Hi,
Anyone else experienced annoying HD audio passthrough issues? Often when I start a movie that is either DTS-HD, Dolby TrueHD or Atmos, my receiver will just stay on "Stereo" and there is no sound. To fix this, I restart the Shield and usually it works. I don't restart any of the other devices, so I must assume this is related to the Shield. This has also never happened in SPMC, Plex or any of my other apps on Shield, so I guess it is KODI related too.
Sync playback to display is turned off. I have looked in known issues here https://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=304226 and set "Delay after change of refresh rate" to 2.5 seconds. I have tinkered with this setting, but nothing seem to be stable.
It seems like it always work with non-HD audio tracks.
