I'm using Kodi on an Android TV box. It's worked great for 2 years now. I recently switched from using mythtv to using npvr. I'm using an add on called x-newa. When I start watching a recording in progress, I can skip ahead until the playback reaches the point where the video was when I started watching. At that point the video continues to play fine but if I try to skip ahead then it takes me back to where the recording was when I started watching. The thing that puzzles me is it works correctly if I run it on kodi in windows. The same behavior was also observed on the PVR add-on for mediaportal on android. Any ideas?

x-newa is not supplied here. It's support seems to be on the nextpvr forum.

Kodi playback over http doesn't support files that grow because the content length is never reread so pvr.nextpvr and x-newa by default will stop at the original end point.  x-newa has an option to play back PVR recording from shares using advanced settings.xml to work around this problem.
