Remote desktop for Kodi
#1
I'm using Kodi 16.1 on RPi2. Some of these devices are located are located in area's that are just a pain to have to go to every time I want to tweak something, or change a setting, etc.... I would like to be able to remote desktop, or otherwise pull the desktop back to my primary machine. I've seen others asking about x11vnc, but I'm not sure if its ever worked, or anyone as ever gotten it to work.

Can a person do remote desktop on Kodi? If x11vnc is the answer, what repository is it located in, or where do I find it?

Thanks

Daryl

Kodi on rpi does not use x11.
x11vnc is not an option,

you could use dispmanx_vnc, it's slowish but it works fine.

Serious, catastrophic lack of crystal balls and people with psychic powers has been observed on this forums lately.
This question can only be answered if OS on which you are running Kodi is known, Kodi is an application not an OS.
The sources are there -> https://github.com/hanzelpeter/dispmanx_vnc

TigerVNC might also be a solution.

Very true and sorry for that dumb suggestion.

Depending on the OS the OP uses, he might be able to use the "Dispmanx VNC for RPi" which LibreELEC started to offer in it's 7.0.1 MR release.

Maybe that helps. But sure, only if the OP uses LibreELEC
