Hi,
I have an old HP TC1000 tablet I thought I might install Kodi on rather than throw it in the bin.
It is of the i586 vintage and have discovered a distro here https://slackware.pkgs.org/14.2/slackel-...j.txz.html
I decided to give this a try as I believe the i586 architecture is unsupported, at least in most modern versions of linux?
My trouble extends from the fact I have to use a usb stick to install to this device as there is no dvd drive etc. I don't want to run from a usb stick but install from it to the TC1000 internal hard disk.
The distro mentioned above is installed from a linux OS which the TC1000 does not have. I was hoping there was a version out there which I can install on the hardware much like you do when you install on a raspberry PI - you just install to the SD card and away you go.
I realise this is is 'old' hardware, but am I wasting my time here? Is there a way to install to this device from a usb stick without having to install a version of linux first.
Thanks
