Solved Kodi 17.5 keeps resetting volume to the red speaker icon with an x
#1
I've loaded Kodi 17.5 four times now and each time Kodi when opened displays the white speaker icon in a circle at the top middle portion of the screen showing the volume being automatically lowered to zero and which point the red speaker icon with an x is displayed. I'm doing nothing with the remote when this occurs. It happens automatically when Kodi loads.

I'm loading Kodi on to an Nvidia Shield with system 6.1

I'm stumped!

Suggestions?
