On Enigma2 boxes for example you can have 4 languages for subtitles and audio so it would be nice to have on Kodi too.
For example:
1. Swedish
2. Norwegian
3. Danish
4. English
If Swedish not is found it will check for 2nd langauge Norwegian etc.
Thinking mainly on LiveTV/PVR but i guess it would work fine in other things too.

My biggest issue is that sometimes subtitles aren't listed with a language ('und'), resulting in them not being selected. I'd love to be able to automatically fall back to an undetermined subtitle if no language-specific subtitle is present.

Still no? Language preference manager no longer working on Kodi 18.
Would be cool to have this built in.

I never got Language preference manager working with PVR.

I've fixed Language Preference Manager, it's now working on Kodi 18 and I've added "forced" subtitles support.
I don't use PVR on Kodi.

Yes but request is mainly for LiveTV so if you could take a look on it would be great.
There is some free streams you maybe could test with.
