Movies Won't play: https://paste.ubuntu.com/26285649/

Movies play, system works normally: https://paste.ubuntu.com/26285669/

Starting at line 597 you see USB devices get detected but in the log where it will not play the movies these entries are missing...

I also noticed towards the end of both logs there are a lot of differences in the way the system is detecting the RAID array... I'm not really sure if there is a smoking gun in here but there is definitely some differences here (I imported them into excel and lined the code up for easy comparison.
Code:
usb 1-1: new high-speed USB device number 2 using ehci-pci
usb 1-1: New USB device found, idVendor=8087, idProduct=8000
usb 1-1: New USB device strings: Mfr=0, Product=0, SerialNumber=0
hub 1-1:1.0: USB hub found
hub 1-1:1.0: 8 ports detected
usb 3-3: new SuperSpeed USB device number 2 using xhci_hcd
usb 3-3: New USB device found, idVendor=152d, idProduct=0539
usb 3-3: New USB device strings: Mfr=1, Product=2, SerialNumber=5
usb 3-3: Product: USB to ATA/ATAPI Bridge
usb 3-3: Manufacturer: JMicron
usb 3-3: SerialNumber: C3C397CFFFFF
usb 2-1: new full-speed USB device number 2 using xhci_hcd
usb 2-1: Device not responding to set address.
tsc: Refined TSC clocksource calibration: 1696.071 MHz
usb 2-1: Device not responding to set address.

you should add your usb devices to /etc/fstab, so they are always automounted to the same dir on boot.

The array is at sdb2... What commands or where would I go to add it as you've suggested?

So I upgraded the base OS and then reinstalled Kodi and now it's working.

Only issues I have left to resolve is a screen saver that's coming on and the system is no longer booting to kodi automatically.
