There's been an update to the PR just to shuffle the code around a bit to make for a cleaner solution here's a new build just ensure no change in function from the original PR code that solved this issue for Dumyat, can people please test with this http://mirrors.kodi.tv/test-builds/windo...ge-x64.exe

Confirm no issues with this build either. Both volume and mute functions working as expected. Would be good to have additional confirmation from debennett2 as well, before marking the issue as solved.

Btw if you want to use internal Kodi volume control so Windows system volume is left unchanged, then use the MCERemote addon found under Program addons to apply a registry change so your remote acts lke a keyboard, however if you use your remote for other applications then doing this may break usage with those other apps.

This is the addon I’m referring to https://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid...=mceremote

Applying to Windows registry and reverting from within addon is a simple selection and hardware restart.

Yeah, I tried to use that addon a long time ago, but if my memory serves me correctly, I don't think my remote responded very well at the time. But then, maybe I was doing something wrong. I will take another look for sure....Thanks.
Will this current fix be merged into the current nightly build's? It may be just a coincidence on the timing, but I'm noticing this evening that quite a number of random video files I've tried to play in my library now have no picture, but do have audio.

Ok, That's great.....Thanks
My video issue appears to be solved as well. Smile
It's seems that when I installed either 1st or 2nd fix, my video render method was changed to auto in the process. Changing it back DXVA has solved the problem and everything appears to playing as expected again now....
