well actually maybe it's not a bug, it might just be a syntax matter : how to pass that godamn @ inside the password !!
But I'll take a chance there too...

Have you tried escaping the @? For instance, if your password is P@SSWORD you would type P\@SSWORD. I don't think @ needs to be escaped in JSON, so it will probably still fail. But if it doesn't fail (or probably even if it does) there maybe a bug with parsing JSON-RPC.
