The same thing happens with the v4.0.7+matrix.1 version of the add-on which is maintained by micahg so I don't think the discrepancy is a bug introduced when I back ported to Leia.  I don't know what would cause the difference.

Seems to work on the CBC website fine(running Linux Mint 20.2 on that PC) and new shows can be watched, but shows are not updating on Kodi itself. Is  the problem that CBC has made some change to GEM that requires an update in the plugin?

Yes, I suspect that the URL (Show/Episode) list for Corrie (Coronation Street) as provided by the CBC web server has changed since the last update of this add-on by by @micahg (back ported by @kodaksmith).

The change may be temporary as the CBC is constantly updating it's web site (especially for Shows like Corrie that change every day) however, I don't have the coding skill to verify this myself and depend and the author of this add-on (and his skilled contributors) to confirm this.
