Release CBC TV (Canadian Broadcasting Corporation)
Thanks again micahg for maintaining this addon.  I'm not concerned about credit and continue to run older Kodi 18.x on older LibreELEC 9.2.x on older Raspberry Pi 2/3s.  If someone would like to create a github account and create a PR for this small change then that is alright by me.

I have a Gem account and can log in and watch programs just fine on my laptop using the web login. The web login requires email address and password, but the Kodi plugin on Raspberry Pi 4 asks for username and password. I've tried my first name, last name, both, and my email address for username and nothing works - each fails authentication. What am I doing wrong?

I just confirmed my email and password work fine. That should be all that is required of you.

Don't sign in with apple, google or facebook though -- we can't support that auth on kodi afaik.

Thanks for taking a look for me. I've found it was my error. I use Yatse on an old phone as a controller and had a leading space in the password on the predictive text, which I hadn't noticed. Lesson learned.

Alright - glad you sorted it out.

CBC addon is crashing Kodi as soon as I choose "Shows". This is a new install on Linux Mint. If I enter credentials for GEM same thing happens. Not sure if this is the right log but here is the crash log https://paste.kodi.tv/dometuniyo.kodi

Here is log from /home/user/.kodi/temp https://paste.kodi.tv/ukayodijac.kodi

I reverted from Kodi 20 Alpha1 to Kodi 19 and it appears to be working. I will update if there is any change

Odd - I updated from 19 to 20 and nothing broke. I'll check your log this evening when I have a minute.

Also, that log doesn't really show a crash. Can you reproduce it?

I am not sure how to reproduce it aside from reinstalling Kodi 20. As long as it isn't happening on 19 I am fine for now but I would like to upgrade at some point. If you want I can install Kodi 20 on my desktop and see if I can reproduce it and give you the the logs. Give me a day I will post later

Had some time to install Kodi 20. Here is the log https://paste.kodi.tv/acigoquvan.kodi
I notice that I was running Kodi 21 at one point but seem to have the same issue with both Kodi 20 and 21

I noticed you said Kodi 20 Alpha 1 and Kodi 21.  Have you installed Kodi 20 from here

Just trying to narrow things down. When I posted that mine works (with my posted setup), that is meant to narrow things down as well, not to say everything's ok and you're mistaken. Hope that made sense.

Also what credentials to log in are you using, are you actually using a GEM account or using Google/Apple/Facebook which may cause issues.

Sorry if it was not clear. I took this from the pastebin I first posted -Starting Kodi (21.0-ALPHA1 (20.90.101) Git:20230123-8fc11baa9c
and the second pastebin after I tried reinstalling Starting Kodi (20.0 (20.0.0) Git:20230115-389e701cb9)
I had CBC crashing and closing Kodi down with both
I am now on the stable Kodi 19 release which I installed from the official wiki https://kodi.wiki/view/HOW-TO:Install_Kodi_for_Linux
so far no issues with that
I installed all versions from that wiki
