I installed Kodi 19 alpha 1 along with Netflix 0.15.3 on my Shield, and I'm still only getting movies to play in SD. Is there something else that needs to be done to get 1080p and 4k to play? 

Yes, insert manually Netflix ESN, then change to manual stream selection on inputstream addon...then u should be able to select 1080p and 4k streams  

I'm guessing there's no way to copy and paste the ESN? It's like 5 miles long. Also, does the ESN I need to copy, start right after ESN: , or do I just copy the numbers, and not all the words following ESN: ?  

Copy everything after ESN:. If you have a harmony hub you can use the keyboard input from there. I wrote down the whole thing in a notepad app on my phone, then I copy and pasted about 15 characters at a time because copying the whole thing causes chaos.
