Release Netflix Add-on [input-stream]
(2024-02-03, 19:16)Johnny Rico Wrote: it appears they banned my TV on the Android native app...

Normally this only happens if you copied the ESN from the official app to the Kodi Netflix addon settings. Did you do this maybe?

Not at all, I thought it was all about authentification key for logging to Netflix addon on Kodi...

Still, I'm actually having 540p videos running on my 4K TV, this is terrible  Big Grin

I suggest you to factory reset the tv.
It happened to my 2019 shield tv pro. Resolution on both official Netflix app from google app store and kodi netflix addon were stuck at 540p. After factory resetting, it has been fixed. However Kodi netflix addon still doesn't work properly while disney+ addon works perfectly.

factory resetting won't help, I think (I may be wrong), as that won't change the Netflix ESN, which is hardcoded to your device and which they use to blacklist devices.
I had the same issue with my 2017 Shield.
contacted support. they just referred me to NVIDIA.

the blacklisting may be removed after a while.

I recommend using a random ESN as per addon settings.

If only I knew the risk before trying this plugin  Sad

First from Windows OS..... now to Android, I'm afraid Netflix is blocking this add-on.
I will unsubscribe Netflix if I cannot use this kodi add-on.

Does anyone else have Ens error?

IM sorry for my bad English. Netflix limits Android devices to 540p. I have an Nvidia Shield 2019. I have never used its ESN in the Kodi addon. In the official Netflix app, my resolution is 540p. I have 4k on the Netflix app on the Samsung TV and on the PS5.
The Sony TV is also 540p.
There are two threads on the Nvidia Shield forum for other users that confirm this:

https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/for...than-540p/
https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/for...ld-tv-pro/

This is more than scandalous to me. I'm sure Netflix is intentionally hurting Android subscribers with 540p.
You pay for a 4k subscription - you get 540p if you watch on Android TV.
Samsung TV and PS5 - 2160 p
Nvidia Shield 2019 and Sony TV-540 p

This link doesn't work. Is there a new one?

These links work for me:

I don't know how to upload the pictures to the Kodi forum.
I have also uploaded photos of what I wrote here:

Even if you didn't use the ESN, did you use the Netflix addon on those devices limited to 540p?
Perhaps Netflix can identify devices using something other than the ESN and limit the resolution to 540p when the Netflix addon is used.

Did you find a solution to this. I am getting the same error AMPlayback disabled due to exception: 'nf_is_ads_stream' for all types of resolutions or streams.
