I did a search and didn’t see anything on this topic

When you put Xbox in instant on mode and it goes into sleep mode (like you leave it for an hour or two and then it resumes), if Kodi was running and now you are back on the home
Screen and press resume it will reload as opposed to resume.

Is there any way for it to survive the instant on sleep / wake up cycle ?? And simply resume? Or is this a platform limitation ?

I would guess its a UWP limitation, the dev's hands are tied behind their back which is why its so impressive we have what we have to be honest. Maybe MS will loosen the ropes over time but i'd guess its to do with that. 

Of course Netflix can do whatever it likes; so its different rules for different developers.
