17.6 is EOL. As Android currently has no maintainer, please try v18 and leave us a bugreport with all logfiles on trac.kodi.tv

can you provide a full debug log? Otherwise you'll not get any useful help, as it's a guesswork than.
The latter one is of course that your hardware is not implementing the interface correct as discribed in this thread: https://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=289735
