[AniDB MOD] Problem scraping a single series and movie after switching to SSD
#1
So, I have all my TV anime and anime movies stored in separate folders. Normally I had everything on the C: drive (my HDD), but since I've installed my SSD it's now the D: drive. So, I changed the video source for both series and movies to the D: drive, but for some reason there's 1 series and 1 movie which Kodi simply refuses to scrape, which worked perfectly normal prior.

(The series in question is Monster, and the movie in question is Rakuen Tsuihou)

Log: https://pastebin.com/8UnuiMwp

Just made another log: https://pastebin.com/rceLhm1Q

EDIT: Here's some more info:

Monster episodes are named as follows: [CBM] Monster - 06.mkv, [CBM] Monster - 07.mkv, etc

Rakuen Tsuihou is named as follows: [Farfie] Rakuen Tsuihou - Expelled From Paradise (BD-1080p-x265 Opus-5.1).mkv

And here's my advancedsettings.xml: https://pastebin.com/K5dt1kZE

Kodi is installed on the SSD ( C: ). My series and movies are on the HDD ( D: ).

Unfortunately none of your logs are of use as you did not enable debug mode in Settings>System Settings>Logging. Can you try again. Make sure you run an update library to try and scrape that show and movie.

Also please provide the link to both those items at the scraper site.

Yes, that is better, thanks. I am not familiar with the way AniDB works, so someone with more knowledge needs to advise. The correct logs are now available for them.

What I could see, though is that your episode numbers are correctly identified but the TV Show does not seem to be identified. Seems as if it is searching one level too deep for the show name and searching for [CBM] Monster - 06.mkv instead of Monster. Is your Source correctly set?

DEBUG: VideoInfoScanner: No NFO file found. Using title search for 'D:\Anime\Monster\[CBM] Monster - 06.mkv

Yes, the source of the folder which contains every show is set to TV shows and uses the AniDB mod scraper, if that's what you mean.

So, how can I get Kodi to look for the TV show title, and not for the file names?

You cannot, Kodi Always looks at the folder for the TV Show name, but it needs Episode numbers to correctly recognize the episodes.
The reason why your monster isn't working anymore is because the modded version of AniDB scraper checks with tvdb id's.
So it basically finds this anime: https://www.thetvdb.com/series/monster but than when it tries to scrape it cannot recognize the episodes.
Try renaming the episodes from the series to S01E01 instead of just 01.

As for the anime movies, this is a more difficult case as they are not properly recognized as movies by the modded anidb scraper.
I had this problem too, had to place seperate nfo files into every folder for myself for every ova and movie.
However what you can do is check if it's this movie: https://www.themoviedb.org/movie/304023-...m-paradise
If so than just try putting it on the moviedb scraper instead and rename the folder name into Rakuen Tsuihou (2014) it should than recognize your movie without a problem.
Hope this works!

I don't think this is necessary. My advancedsettings.xml is configured precisely so that I don't have to rename anything, and that it detects episodes just as I want them. And it's really weird that it doesn't recognize Monster's episodes, because I literally didn't change anything, and it worked perfectly fine prior. Heck, the rest of my library has a few series with the exact naming scheme, and they work like usual. It's just Monster.

Tried using a parsing .nfo. Doesn't work, either.
