Hi I would like to know if it is possible to have specific films to start to play at specific times. At the moment films in the zoo i work in are on a loop but no one knows when they will start. It would be nice if the films were to start at set times, on a timer, so people an easily arrive for the start or know how long they have to wait for the film they are waiting for. Is there an app or some how i can load up the films, set a time for them to come on and just leave it at that? any advice much appreciated - thank you!

Kodi can be controlled by external clients via JSON-RPC: https://kodi.wiki/view/JSON-RPC_API/Examples

From the cmd line you can use a program named curl for sending commands. On Windows you could use task scheduler to execute those commands at desired time.
