Cannot Play Some Recordings
#1
Hello:
I'm running Kodi 17.6 / Myth 0.28 / macOS 10.12.6, having just migrated from a Linux-based setup running much the same versions of Kodi and Myth.

I've got most things working - but I'm not able to play back some recordings inside Kodi:
  • Brand new recordings play back fine;
  • Old recordings (2016-ish) play back fine;
  • Recent recordings (from yesterday, pre-migration) don't play back - I get the message that 'Connection to MythTV backend lost'.
The recent recordings that don't play back inside Kodi DO play back correctly inside the Myth Frontend. I can play Live TV absolutely fine.

In the Kodi logs, I'm getting the following posted:

Code:
20:46:46.764 T:140736170337216  NOTICE: VideoPlayer: Opening: pvr://recordings/tv/active/Default/Frasier/Frasier s01e16%20The%20Show%20Where%20Lilith%20Comes%20Back, TV%20(Channel%204), 20180701_072100, 1004_1530429660_0f8.pvr

Sure... "Do not post logs in the forum. Use https : //paste.ubuntu.com/ or similar".
Also, please provide FULL, uncut/unedited log files. We prefer to see the whole picture. Smile

Oops - my apologies!

I think I may have just found the answer anyway: https://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=264386

I'm not in a position to try this just now, but I will do so and report back.

Thanks.
