In general I don't want to have the next episode of a series autoplay. However I have some series that are short cartoons and it does get annoying to have to keep selecting the next one every 5 minutes. Is there any way to set autoplay for just specific series?

You could add the episodes or the entire series of cartoons to a basic playlist using Queue item from the Context Menu.

Then play the playlist and shuffle or repeat playback. You can save it and add it to Favourites for quick access next time. https://kodi.wiki/view/Basic_playlists

Press play on the tv show instead of the episode.
