Is there a way to disable kodi's dailogkeyboard when selecting a edit? to that i can use my custom on instead?

right now i have my custom keyboard controling the edit completely but if i click on the edit then it launches the builtin keyboard. which is what i do not want. Everything is controled in python of then the custom.xml window styling.

Alright so I found the button code/id for select ... And have it working with a if Acton.get is eqaul to the code:
Log it works

That way I could verify it working but from what I have found if I select the edit which launches the defualt keyboard then it will not satisfy the if statement until you close the keyboard.
Thus I cant overide the defualt keyboard.
And if I make the .xml do a onload action close it crashes Kodi.

So am I really out of opinions as to making defualt keyboard be disabled
