I have just installed Kodi 17.6 onto my Windows laptop. Once I double-click the program it comes up normal, but before I can click anything it pops up with an error saying that it needs to close.

I tried several different things to try to fix the issue by reading about previous issues, but nothing has worked thus far.

EDIT:  The error message says 'Kodi has stopped working'

Kodi V18/64 bit Beta 5 is available, an update in portable mode might be the simple solve. Developers are full on with Leia and are not looking backward so much.
