It is the actual logic
For the main menu the logic is like this :
main menu background (yes/no?) => fanart item 1 widget 1 (yes/no?) => fallback image (yes/no?) => "no background"
Perhaps this must be change to :
main menu background (yes/no?) => fallback image (yes/no?) => fanart item 1 widget 1 (yes/no?) => " no background"
It is easy to change.
But this decision is not mine
Thanks to you and @beatmasterrs for the effort and the time to explain it. If you ask me this is the best skin there is.
Just a couple of observations and cases, maybe this can help:
Case 1
Correct background (switches to first widget row upon returning to menu item)
When using the Default Fixed Widget list and navigating through the other widget rows on the same section, when returning to menu item (either by using the down key until you reach the last widget or using back button multiple times, multiple times is needed when already navigated multiple entries on that widget row, until it reaches the first entry for that widget row), the widget rows switch/reset to first widget row and shows the correct background that corresponds to the first entry on that widget row.
Case 2 (Incorrect background not returning to first widget row)
Using the same widget list type (default/fixed), I use 25 or more items on widget rows when I navigate to the right through various entries on the current widget row i like a fast way to get back to the focus on menu item, so I use the back key with the Extras option called “On back, jump to first item in widget list” and the dependant option “After that, focus home menu”, that way with just one press of the back key I get to the menu item (faster) instead of doing 2 or 3 back key presses. The thing is that with these 2 options enabled, the widget row doesn’t switch/reset to first widget row, it remains on the widget row I left off but with the background from the entry of widget row 1.
Case 3
Correct background (switches to first widget row)
This is the current one am using, I have the Wrap list set for the widget lists, here I don’t need the Extras option because by default on this type of widget list with just one back key press I return to menu item, and here when returning to menu item, the widget row I left off switches/reset to widget number 1, again showing the correct background for the first entry on that same row.
The question would be if there is any possibility to fix the behavior of case 2, either making it reset to widget row 1 like the other two cases (I think this one would be easier because it keeps the same behavior as the other two cases) or just showing the background of the first entry of the widget row the user left off before returning to menu item.
Again thanks for all the effort, appreciate all the work on this skin.
