Maybe you should try to download the file again and rename it, or restart Kodi before installing it. Maybe this helps?

There are several ways, you can try to get to the default skin, sure. You can:
- try to press "back"
- try to press "S" if you have a keyboard, to show the power menu, from which you can go to skin settings
- open the guisettings.xml, located in userdata folder, search for<setting id="lookandfeel.skin">skin.arctic.zephyr.mod</setting>, delete the line, save the file, restart kodi
- delete the guisettings.xml file, located in userdata folder, restart kodi
- delete the script-skinshortcuts-includes.xml file, located in addons\skin.arctic.zephyr.mod\1080i folder, restart kodi
- try to delete the skin.arctic.zephyr.mod folder, located in addons, restart kodi
