After that, go to home or library and focus a movie, for that is no trailer available. Please make a screeenshot and provide the screenshot here. You will get something like this:
- for the movie which played the trailer, like I said, I have a$movie-trailer.mp4
file, *but* the .nfo file still has a youtube url as the trailer field. Meaning kodi still looked for and played the local file.
- for the other movies, the reason for only getting a black screen was because I didn't have the youtube plugin. After installing the plugin it plays trailers from the internet.
- the thing is I'm just testing things on my pc now. But my real kodi system doesn't have proper net access, and I don't have trailers for all, and the nfos where generated automatically using a third party tool...
So... I'm wondering would it still be possible to have one of these solutions implemented:
1) have an option to only play local trailers or
2) before doing the black out check if there is youtube plugin and net access; or
3) probably the easiest to implement: don't black out the background at all. Just play the trailer on top. If there is no net/youtube then the background stays the same anyway.
Thank you.
Sorry, but no. Maybe you should configure your 3rd party tool properly. If you want to try it yourself, here are the related places in the code:
