Loaded today's master and lost all my home settings including widgets, libraries which were disabled were reenabled, all the sub menu edits and a few other things. 

Below you can see all libraries are showing my default widget (single pic of camera) and not the widgets I had before the update like "Latest Unwatched Movies".  I had disabled Videos, tools, etc, along the bottom but they all show now.  Also, my additions to sub menus are all gone.

In your log, i cant see where you are installing the master zip. Please install the skin from repo, start debug logging, change skin settings to your needs, install the master zip, end debug logging.

Second log I posted should be right.  Forgot I restarted Kodi to take another screenshot and must have uploaded the wrong one.

Anyhow, putting things back now and can redo if needed.

Okay, well I know the one you did for me the other day called flags-patch-6 worked fine.  I also updated master every day since then (you've been making a lot of changes lately).  Starting yesterday was the first one I noticed my settings started getting overwritten.  Then today's did it also.

I'll keep playing with it and see if I can come up with anything additional.

Odd it's only the Shield users so far that have seen the problem.

I can't see any error in the commits and I can't reproduce the issue. We will see. Maybe you guys will find something out @AngryBird @robertlaing

I can definitely tell you it's the filename below:

Tried it 3 times and every time as soon as I loaded that update I lost all my home screen settings.  Took a backup between updates so it was easy to keep falling back and restoring addons/data from the prior update.

I went in the order in your post above, so the 4 updates before skinshortcuts I believe should be good.

One thing I noticed was that after selecting the update the screen would go black for an extended period of time before it came back with the message that the skin had been updated and it reloaded the skin.

Just to be thorough I tried the last one a42146202b556e5d40f154763c38b27a65e4ab58.zip (color presets) and it did the same and wiped out my home settings.  Which I presumed it would.

Back on 0466fdab2e156c9e52ccd9f62b88339f932c9662.zip ClearLogo now and all is good.

Let me know if you need anything else.

Maybe RL's logs will show something different.

Here is a pic of what my home screen looks like before in case my settings have something to do with it.  Has the correct number of icons at the bottom, widgets are all there, and my menu updates are there.

I am on Nexus 20.2 release and the last 3 zip files are causing me the issue of losing my settings.

I have reverted back to the last release on the Kodi repository and used my backup settings for the skin.
I'll post a log when I get the time, but I see nothing in the log file to suggest any problems.

For some reason the last 3 changes are not reading my settings for the skin properly.

Is it purely down to the Shield? Who knows, but how come the other changes work fine?!?

To be honest, I have no idea what this might causes and whether it also occurs when updating from the repo. I will therefore at least undo the skinshortcuts commit for the time being. Skin code looks correct for me. We will see.

Tested 2 times Android Kodi 20.2, once without errors, once after update to "SkinShortcuts" no more own widgets. kodi failed on SkinShortcuts
Tested 2 times Android Kodi 21 Alpha2, once without errors, once after update to "ExtraFanart" no more own widgets. kodi failed on ExtraFanart.log
2 times under windows Kodi 20.2 without errors.
2 times on Coreelec Kodi 20.2 without error.
