I am using my laptop to play Kodi with Blu Ray ISO files. They play perfectly but 90% of them are ultra wide (2.35 aspect I believe) I try to play them back as 16:9 to fill the screen to maximize the TV since 2.35 is so small but it will not force it like it can with 4:3 or other formats. Is it just not capable with Blu Ray ISO or is it simply just not possible given how different the ratios are and does not make sense to do so? Normally I would not care too much but my 75" is a little small for the room it is in and trying to get the picture as big as possible. Any help would be appreciated.
