Hi everyone!

I've updated kodi to version 18 rc2 on NVIDIA Shield. I immediately had a problem with the screen resolution.

I have a 40-inch Samsung 4k TV but since I updated I have to set the resolution to 1920x1080p format to be able to view the whole screen. If I try to change my resolution, I'll see this:



If I select the 4k resolution the screen becomes huge. The problem now is that I can not view movies in 4k. How can I solve?

I  can confirm this behavior on my Shield (2015).
It happens already since quite some builds ago.

You can apply this workaround:
- set the Kodi screen resolution to 1920x1080p
- use in Kodi system screen settings the whitelist and turn on the proper 4k resolutions
- set up Nvidia Shield in display settings for color space  YCbCr 4:2:2 12bit Rec 2020

Result : the screen resolution will change when playing 4k source in Kodi!

Is it an old problem? With kodi 17.6 I visualized everything correctly ...

It is introduced somewhere in the Kodi 18 nightly builds some builds ago.
I'm on the latest 64bit development nightly build.
