I have a few shows that are Dolby, but only 2ch.  The problem is it is being upmixed to 5.1, and when I try to skip forward or back it freezes the video, and I need to stop/start to play.  Non-Dolby does not upmix, and 5.1 Dolby plays fine.  The amp info for input shows it knows it's only 2ch, so it appears to be passed correctly.  The only thing that fixes it is turning off the DD/DTS encoding...but it's still 5.1ch, so maybe that's not the real issue.  I don't have many videos like this, but I'd still like to fix/get true audio output. 

Is this a bug, or is there a way to have the correct channels (assuming that would fix it)?  

Kodi 17.6 (Audio set to 2ch, no upmix, passthrough, etc, so that surround is working properly otherwise)
