After updating to version 18, I cannot play files from my usb drive anymore.

Just stops playing after 10 seconds no matter what the resolution of the file is.
Then I cant even exit Kodi and will have to pull the power cord.

Nvidia shield tv (2017) owner.

I'm having a similar issue, however I'm playing files from a network drive using samba. The video plays for about 10 secs without sound and then freezes. It was working fine before the update to v18.

It seems that the issue was the update on my Android TV. Performed a reset and installed Kodi again and everything is fine now.
