I only get this situation in Linux environments after I change the designated monitor in a multi-monitor setup and then play a video. After a restart, all is okay. In Windows, empty text objects like that do not happen after a selection change of monitor.

Thank you for your uncomplicated help! No always at first asking for logs etc.
I have fixed it by reinstalling (purge) kodi.
Now it looks like it is ok..

Don't assume that people have time wasting time speculating if there is a short by just looking into the logfile ...
