Thank you for the Information, I wasn't aware of that.
Do you know if that is HW-related or a SW(driver)-changeable factor?

 Found the answer myself: https://forum.libreelec.tv/thread/14255-...post109785
No problem for my current solution and also (for the reference setup) because I am also waiting for and putting my hope on Odroid N2 ;-)

I hope that this is the proper forum to ask, I have this box x99 and tried all of the Rockchip RK3399 images, none worked, I found this image (LibreELEC-RK3399.arm-9.0-devel-20181209115922-6db1ac5-skykirinx99.img) which somewhat works, thinking that there might be a newer image,  am I doing or missing something? I know that the is all a WIP, but I am totally lost, any help would be very much appreciated.

The quest for a proper "living room compatible" case/combo is on, passive cooling is a must ofc... Wink

 The issue seems software related.
We can pass MaxFALL/MaxCLL through; it's that SEI parsing of the source file isn't working as expected yet.

count.zero thank you, I have tried all the Rockchip RK3399, with no success, you would think that one of the build would have worked, but this rubbish of a box just seems to be just that rubbish., I've read so many threads in different forums hoping to get LibreELEC on this box. Guess I'll wait and hope. Undecided

ok guys, i'm one click away of pulling the trigger on a Rockpi 4 its at 48€ in europe at the moment. is the 1Gb model enough for libreelec? or should i go wild with a 2gb model?
any know problems besides the ones exposed on this topic? or should i wait for the new Odroid?
will the devs continue to support this board?
Thank you!

€48,- is a GREAT price ... could you point me to that offer? Smile
I think 2GB ist necessary if you'r using a "heavier" GUI like I do (Aeon Nox Silvo)!

@wrxtasy

Looking to put together a couple of orders here for the Rock Pi.

Did a switch here waiting for a Rock64 final design change which has never come to being.  Wanted an RTC battery relating to using the box for automation.
And will be using a POE hat for the automation server.

One box would be utilized for a combo automation server (HA, Node Red, HS (mono) - doing this now on the Pine64) and the other box would be utilized to replace current crop of KODI boxes (used for all of the LCD TVs in home) which are AOpen digital engines and Xi5A AMD cubes.

Been using Intel / AMD based boxes for my KODI boxes which are currently running Ubuntu 18.10 or LibreELEC Kodi Leia.
Switched over here to almost all Linux these days.  I prefer to run Kodi in Linux rather than Windows or Android.

Based in the midwest here near Chicago.

Went directly to hxxps://shop.allnetchina.cn/cn  and put together a base order just for a KODI box...(not automation yet).

I want to try using Ubuntu 18.10 Kodi Leia and LibreELEC Kodi Leia on the new box.  Concerned a bit about generated CPU heat with stock heat sink.

Image

Switching over to being able to use 4K now...

Connectivity is ==> KODI ==> AVR ==> 4K HD LCD TV or KODI ==> 4K HD LCD TV

Newest #3 NAS box is DIY'd using an LSi controller plus (12 SATA ports)

TIA

Will this work for me?

Since kszac stopped Amlogic build, I'm experiencing many issues with new CoreElec Leia builds (on AmLogic boxes).

This post has convinced me...  The RockPi 4B is the way to go.

Just one newbie question for you -- Does anyone know whether it's possible to utilize the m.2 option, or conventional SATA device, rather than using the eMMC, as the Kodi image (boot)?

Thank you in advance!
