Sorry, newbie question.  Put both Plex and Kodi on my Win7 machine. Set both to point to a video folder with playable files. Connected old Sony SMP N100 streaming box to my network. It instantly saw the Plex server when active, but I cannot get it to see the Kodi program. Have gone through all the stuff I can find, including loading Bonjour etc and turning on DNLA, but whatever I do Kodi is not seen on the network. I would much prefer to run Kodi, as it seems to cope with ISO files, but I am probably missing something easy, and quick help would be appreciated.

ATM Kodi does not have server functionality, so if you had Kodi installed on some streaming box you could connect via all the networking tools to access a NAS or PC storage solutions etc. File sharing (wiki)  Plex is two programs, the server version on your PC  and the head end on whatever device.
