Yes.

There is a Leia build was well: https://jenkins.kodi.tv/job/Android-ARM/16757/

Awaiting your response.
First decide what functions / features you expect from a system. Then decide for the hardware. Don't waste your money on crap.

Tested on this version, it works like a charm. Thanks Cerarp.

Question is, who implement it wrong to cause this issue:
1. Philips FW in Android 8.0 is not compliant with specification or
2. KODI was missing some fields which were introduced in Android 8.0?

Thanks...

It's an optional field, added in API version 19 already. Optional means: Decoder has to work without it (which it obviously does not most other brands ;-)), see: https://developer.android.com/reference/...MAX_HEIGHT

I see but it is not defined as Optional, so I am concluding it is mandatory. Or I cannot see it from given link?

EDIT: yes, both are Optional, there is in description (hard to see from mobile phone). Damn Philips Smile

https://developer.android.com/about/vers...d-4.4.html seearch for Adaptive to see why those were intevented. Not for the static playback Philips expects it.

And here in clear words:

KEY_MAX_WIDTHIntegerdecoder-only, optional, max-resolution width
KEY_MAX_HEIGHTIntegerdecoder-only, optional, max-resolution height

Pushed into master. Waiting for ack of our Android maintainer for 18.6 backport.

This thread then can be resolved.

Tested both versions. No issues I could see.

Tested devices:
 - Philips TPM191E (xxPUS73x4) - Android 9
 - Sumsung Galaxy Tab A - Android 8.1
 - Sumsung Galaxy S9 - Android 9
 - Older Philips TV (forgot model) - Android 5.1

@Stile35 Are you saying you still had this issue on an Android 8 TV? I thought it was only models with Android 9 that were affected.

Yes, if you read whole post, you will see that issue started after upgrading from Android 7.0 to Android 8.0. I had issue on my Philips 65PUS7803 after upgrading to Android 8.0 but your fix is working perfectly. Thanks...

It seems I found one issue: as long as some kind of title is displayed, video/movie is stuttering. This was not the case before. Can you verify with one of your movies?

You mean subtitles or something else?

Subtitles, yes. Sorry.

No issue with subtitles that I can see, even on the old cheap Android 5.1 Philips TV with a 1080p HEVC video.

Try reseting your TV and after Android boots wait about a minute or two for it to load everything in the background then try different videos.
If nothing works find the previous Leia build and try with that.

After reverting back to original Leia and then installing once again this new build, I don't have issues with subtitles anymore. Strange...
