do you know if, in the future, we will be able to scrap our sources in FTP?
because it seems to me that this is sharing SAMBA for the moment

unless I'm wrong, this will avoid activating the SAMBA share if not necessary or if our source is remote

tmm does not support any remote connection itself.
If your operating system is able to "mount" a FTP share as a local drive/folder you are able to use it from tmm - otherwise not
