Release Amber for Leia/Matrix/Nexus
(2020-05-09, 17:35)shedrock Wrote: @bsoriano - I am not sure how it's related, but when I am using your sking I get this YouTube error which I posted about here: https://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid...pid2948002

I know that your skin is not causing the error, and it's obviously a YouTube addon issue, but I am confused as to why it is only being displayed in your skin.

Thanks,

Shedrock
@shedrock, this is most likely because you have enabled YouTube in Amber's search categories.  You can customize the search categories here:

Image

And in the resulting dialog, you can disable YouTube from the search.  It is at the end:

As you know, the YouTube addon now requires you to configure a personal API key to use it.

I am using version 6.8.0 of the YouTube addon without any issues, up to 1080p quality only since I am using Windows.

I hope this is helpful.

Bart

Hi Bart,

I had that option turned off. I have also been using YT's API feature for over 4 years now, so something else is wrong somewhere. Hopefully the YouTube addon issue will be fixed soon.

My apologies for a bug in versions 3.2.77 and 3.3.77 that caused again that recently added shelves did not show anything.  I have just fixed that in versions 3.2.78 and 3.3.78.  They are already in the Amber repos.  Thank you @Johnny1982fd for reporting this bug.

This did not affect users who download from GitHub, just the version in the Amber repos.

Regards,

Bart
@bsoriano, I did update 3.2.78 and I just noticed a bug with the shelves.
Almost all shelves no longer display anything, even when trying to reconfigure them with Default shelves :
Movies :
- Movies in progress
- Random movies
TV Shows :
- Random TV shows
- TV Shows not seen
Music :
- Most played albums
- Random albums
- Most played titles
- Random artists

I also noticed a French translation problem in the Amber settings.
In Home layout, there are 2 lines with "Personnaliser le menu d'accueil et les étagères". In the second line circled in red, you should put "Personnaliser le menu Alimentation".
Image
Then, in the settings of the power menu, you should translate "Power menu" by "Menu Alimentation".
Image
Finally, it's the same in the window of the power menu, you have to put "Menu Alimentation".

@Cyberdom, you are correct about the shelves, I thought I had fixed that! Please check again with version 3.2.79, and let me know if it is now fixed.  Thanks.

I will include the corrected translations you mention in the next update.  If you are still interested in completing the French translation, please see here: https://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid...pid2947584 for detailed, step by step instructions to do so.  In your case, the French folder is the \language\resource.language.fr_fr inside the skin's folder.  Thanks.

@shedrock, I guess it must be something with the addon in OS other than Windows.  I apologize I could not be of more help.

I'm having trouble updating using the Amber repo. The update appears available but fails to install. If download the update it installs with no trouble. Can you give me a link where I can reinstall the Amber repo so I can either update it or start over again.

Yes they are still broken. I had to restore my skin from backup to get them to work on my PC.

I had to reconfigure the shelves but now it's good, they seem to work.

Regarding the shelf of the most played songs, it would be nice to be able to sort them by number of plays.
By the way, it would be nice to be able to display the number of times a song, TV show or movie has been played. Is it possible in Amber ?
It seems to me that in Estuary, the number of times a song has been played is displayed.

For translation, I need to find the time to try POEdit. I indeed saw your post which explains how to use it.
The official site is https://poedit.net ? Is there a portable version of POEdit ?

Thank you @bsoriano for your speed in the updates.

Thanks, Yes that worked. I had to uninstall first to get it to work. But after updating to 79 part of my movie wouldn't show.

Thanks for the last update. Looks really cool Smile

Pls have a look here. I dont found an option to change these things. ANy ideas ?

@Johnny1982fd , thanks! As of right now, you cannot disable the showing of duration for tv shows and movies, or the showing of unwatched episodes for tv shows.  You can disable the showing of the rating (your last screenshot), by going to Settings, Amber Settings, Media Views, and set "Hide Second Label in List Views" to Yes.

Regards,

Bart

Hi @bsoriano

sorry, i must ask again. Did you implement an option to disable on tv shows the duration?

First picure left side:

https://imgur.com/a/pnwKDkm

In case of yes, it doesnt work with latest version.
Can you check this pls ?

2.) Now i understand what means with "Blur". But it doesnt work with my PI4. I got always the normal cover.

3.) Questions regarding Big List, Big List 2

Line 31960: Big List --> Translate this to "Große Liste"
Line 31999: BigList --> Translate this to " Große Liste 2"
Line 31152: Disable BigList View --> Translate this to "Große Liste 2-Ansicht deaktivieren"

But i didnt found an entry like "Disable Big List View". Is that right and your attention or is this missing?

Thanks Bart!

@G0mez , please download again version 3.2.79.  I verified and the shelves should all work.  If any of them does not, just go ahead and configure it again, it should work after that.  Please let me know.  Thanks.

@Cyberdom , I will check the most played songs shelf, I thought it was sorted by number of plays.  You can display how many times an item has been played by enabling "Hide second label in list views" in the skin settings.

Yes, that is the site for POEdit, and I don't know if there is a portable version.
