On the main menu, the date and time are right-justified (upper-right) of the top bar. I just meant it would be nice to allow users to choose to have that text displayed centered or left-justified as well (upper-left) of the top bar. I haven't gone through all the options yet so I apologize if the suggestion doesn't consider other text/information that might be displayed in the main menu's top bar.
Another thing I'd like to mention, and this really applies to any static items like date/time, is that allowing their placement to be adjusted (manually or automatically) can help protect users from burn-in or at least put their minds at ease knowing they can move static stuff around a little bit from time to time. Newer tv's are a lot better about it but a lot of people don't fall into that category.
@teriyaki, thanks for the clarification. I am not planning on changing that at the moment, since it would mean also changing the position of all of the other items that are displayed in the top bar, such as menu item label, now playing information and fanart background title. I agree with you in terms of static items, and will keep this in mind for a future redesign of the top bar.

@teriyaki, that's an interesting idea, thanks; I will evaluate it further. More to come on this.
