At that point the current episode will continue to play but there is now no remote or keyboard functionality requiring me to force quit Kodi. If I let the episode finish the next episode will not load and its stuck on the new blue info screen. This is repeatable every time I try to use Kodi with PseudoTV enabled.
Fixed, until update temp fix is to disable silent notification on playback.

Afterwards remote commands work unless I leave it alone for another 30-60 seconds then it "goes to sleep" again.

On the double button push issue, I have all PseudoTV extras turned off and it still happens for me. I there a specific setting I’m missing? I know it’s low priority but it’s causing some turmoil in this multi user household
Update: Disabling silencing notifications seems to fix the crashing. Thanks.
Turning overlay on or off doesn’t seem to make any difference. Dual button presses still needed. Also of note that even if I have it disabled I’m still getting the “you are watching...” screen in between episodes.
