I installed primeos on a dell optiplex 760 desktop and when I try to install kodi armv7a the install will start then close. Is there any solution for this?

I think you are better off using Ubuntu 16.04 and installing Kodi via its PPA while you still can.
Going the Android route on a (almost) 10 year old computer with an 'ancient' graphics card will not do much for an optimal video solution.
