You are absolutely right. I can not hear the difference AT ALL... Not even the difference between ATMOS and DDP 
But after spending $$$$ on the TV and Soundbar (instead of AVR and speakers), I felt frustrated and stupid and compelled and definitely OCD that I need to get it right, get every freaking light on and display the right audio format on that tiny little screen in soundbar. So yeah... I want the whole nine yards... TrueHD Atmos, DTS-HD MA, HDR10, DV... EVERYTHING... hahaha... Or I will be questioning myself why bother downloading those 50GB+ Remux in the first place (Yeah, can't tell the difference between 50GB vs 16GB movie either). Gonna ask media player questions later in the hardware forum:Q
